Cecilia Kim is an award-winning actor-writer. She was first seen on stage at the national Actors, Models, and Talent Competition in Charleston, South Carolina at age 16, where she was a Best Actress finalist and won Best Overall Spokesmodel for a sketch she wrote and performed.
As an actress, Cecilia made her film debut in 2015 at the world premiere of Interwoven, starring Academy Award winner Mo’Nique, at the Mill Valley Film Festival in San Rafael, CA. The following year, she appeared in her second feature, Tourbillon, which premiered at the 2016 Sci-Fi London Film Festival. Her recent film credits include This Side Up (dir. David Lanning), What's My Name Again? (dir. Spencer Zender), and Stars Fell on Alabama, Cecilia's second film with director VW Scheich, now available on all major streaming platforms.
As a screenwriter, Cecilia is a Finalist in the 2021 Big Apple Film Fesitval Screenplay Competition and a Semifinalist in the 2022 WeScreenplay TV Contest and the 2021 Screencraft TV Pilot Script Competition for her pilot, PAL PARK. Her short film screenplay, JUST US, placed in the semifinals in the 2021 Vail Film Festival Screenplay Competition, quarterfinals in the 2021 Atlanta Film Festival Screenplay Competition, and won 2nd Place in the Michigan Writers Summit Short Script Contest.
Cecilia holds a BFA in Drama from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and an MFA in Creative Writing from the New School. She currently resides in Los Angeles and is working on her first book.
